Irma A. Clements, 80, Butler

Irma A. Clements, 80, of Butler and formerly of Vandalia, died at 11:07 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Darryl Bolen of First Christian Church in Greenville officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Mulberry Grove. Visitation will be held an hour before services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Irma Clements Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Clements was born on Dec. 1, 1927, in Edwardsville, the daughter of Homer and Susy May Hoyle McFadden. She married James York; he preceded her in death. She married Elvin Ray Clements in 1961 in Greenville; he died on March 3, 1986.

She as a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville.

She is survived by children, Irma Arlene Clements of Brownstown, John W.R. Clements of Butler, Pam Williams of Centralia, Carol Oliver of Keyesport, Darrell York of Texas, Mickey York of Vandalia, Larry York of Lake Village, Ind., Vicky Williams of South Carolina and Patty Wolf of Idaho; stepson, Larry Clements of Vandalia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Wilhelm of Butler and Vaileda Summerlott of Litchfield; and special friend, LeRoy Longwell Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son, Danny Ray Clements; and brother Kenneth McFadden.
