Vivian G. Cearlock, 86, of Vandalia, died at 9:04 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will be in McInturrff Cemetery, Hagarstown. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Health Department Hospice.
Mrs. Cearlock was born on June 18, 1922, in Shobonier, the daughter of Lemuel and Effie Lamborn. She married Darrell B. Cearlock on Feb. 19, 1953, in Ramsey; he died on Sept. 26, 1997.
She was retired from Johnson, Stephens and Shinkle Shoe Factory and Vandalia Warehouse, both in Vandalia, and was a member of Crown Point Community Church in rural Vandalia.
She is survived by sons, Randy Cearlock and his wife Tracy of Vandalia, and Gary Cearlock of Vandalia; daughter, Dana and her husband Roy Hosier of Iola, Kan.; grandchildren, Darrell and his wife Charlotte, Charli and her husband Blaine, Shelby, Bailey, Melissa and her husband David, Maranda and her husband Randy, Sean and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Natalia, Cora, Michaela, Andy and Chelsea.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Gertrude Weaver and Ruby Wefer.
