Carol L. Sarver, 64, of Herrick, died at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at her residence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Herrick Christian Church, with the Rev. Jay Huddleston officiating. Burial with relatives will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Herrick Township, Shelby County. Visitation was held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Wallace-Carroll Funeral Home in Herrick.
Mrs. Sarver was born on June 16, 1944, in Pana, the daughter of Ralph and Dalena Burrus Berryman. She married Nelson Sarver on June 3, 1961, at Effingham Christian Church.
She was reared on the family farm in Carson Township, attended county grade schools and graduated from Herrick High School in 1961. She was an elementary school cook for the Cowden-Herrick School District, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Union Christian Church in Ramsey, a former secretary of the Herrick Community Association and Bowling Green Township, and former member of the Cowden-Herrick Board of Education.
She is survived by her husband; son, Curtis L. Sarver of Herrick; daughter, Nina and her husband Darren Thompson of Herrick; and granddaughter, Amber Thompson, at home.
