Earl Clifton Longwell, 54, of Vandalia, died at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Liberty Cemetery, Bingham, with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Vistation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services on Friday at the cemetery. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family or American Cancer Society.
Mr. Longwell was born on July 22, 1953, in Clayton, Mo., the son of Alvin and Betty Garrett Longwell.
He worked at D&L Disposal and Pinnacle Foods.
He is survived by children, Dustin, Zachary, Shayla, Kayla and Chelsea Longwell, all of Vandalia; brothers, Jim Longwell and his wife Connie of Vandalia, Clarence Longwell and his wife Jeannie of Fillmore, Leroy Longwell and his wife Arlene of Brownstown, and Steven Longwell of Greenville; sisters, Shirley Sinder of Bingham and Linda Easley of Vandalia; and grandchildren, Makya Kellerman and Isahia Tate.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Catherine Longwell.
