Russell M. ‘Russ’ Hubbard, 49, of Vandalia, died at 6:32 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home.
No funeral services will be held. Private burial in Valhalla Cemetry in Belleville will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 107 S. Seventh St., East Carondelet. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hubbard was born on March 19, 1959, in East St. Louis, the son of Joseph Rodney and Selma Lorraine Thompson Hubbard. He marred Linda Helton.
He was a retired boilermaker, and was a member of First Baptist Church in East Carondelet and National Boilermakers Union in Kansas City, Mo.
He is survived by his wife; mother, of East Carondelet; brothers, Larry Brown and his wife Shirley of Leesburg, Fla., Thomas Brown and his wife Patricia of Port Charlotte, Fla., David Brown of Leesburg, Fla., Robert Brown and his wife Patricia of Leesburg, Fla., Gerald Brown and his wife Gertrude of East Carondelet, Richard Brown and his wife Regina of Vandalia, and Joseph Hubbard and his wife Joann of Vandalia; and sister, Donna Thompson of Garland, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father.
