Gene Denton, of Barling, Ark., and formerly of Ramsey, died on Friday, May 16, 2008, in Barling, Ariz.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Ramsey, with the Rev. Delix Michel officiating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 10 a.m. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: St. Scholastica Monastery, 1301 S. Albert Pike, Ft. Mr. Denton was the son of John Ephram and Cora Margaret Ryan Denton. He married Pauline E. Marx; she died on Dec. 23, 2003.
He was a former co-owner/operator of Denton Motors in Ramsey, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ramsey, American Legion Post No. 420 of Ramsey and Ramsey Lions Club.
He is survived by a son, Barry Denton and his wife Jan of Ottawa; daughter, Karin and her husband Dick Hahn of Ft. Smith, Ark.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a grandson, Dean Denton, in 2008; and a brother, Wayne Denton.
