Jessie M. Landers, 101, of Herrick, died at 9:06 p.m. on Sunday at her residence.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Herrick Christian Church, with Max Whited officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery in Herrick Township, Shelby County.
Mrs. Landers was born on Sept. 1, 1906, in Herrick. She married Benjamin O. Landers in Detroit, Mich., on Feb. 28, 19288; he died on June 10, 1974.
She was reared in Herrick and attended elementary school and high school in that community. She was a lifelong farmer and Herrick telephone operator, and a member of Herrick Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, the local senior citizens group and PeaceMeals. She was a Sunday school teacher for children ages 3-5 for 45 years.
She is survived by daughters, Leah and her husband Bud Beck of Atlanta, Ga., Betty and her husband Don Allen of Bullhead, Ariz., and Lorraine and her husband Lynn Thompson of Herrick; granddaughters, Joletta and her husband Terry Hill of Nokomis, Darla and her husband Rodger Moore of Oconee, and Brenda and her husband Rocky Kramer of Herrick; grandsons, Kenton Beck and his wife Kim of Atlanta, Ga., Eric Beck and his wife Kristine of Shelbyville, Leon Beck and his wife Christy of Atlanta, Ga., Dennis Allen and his wife Kristina of New Port Richey, Fla., Darrell Allen and his wife Kim of Rowland Heights, Calif., Daniel Allen and his wife Mindy of Madison, Wis., Gregory Allen and his wife Kimberly of San Diego, Calif., and Brent Wallace of Herrick; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren, great-stepgrandchildren and great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Raymond, in 1987.
