Bernice Caudle, 85, of Vandalia, died at 2:20 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, at her home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church in rural Vandalia, with the Revs. Dan Rush and Ernest Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Caudle was born on Oct. 17, 1922, in Fayette County, the daughter of John Frank and Eunice Cordelia Harrison Morse. She married William Larimer, and married Forrest Lee Caudle on Dec. 20, 1969; he died on Feb. 16, 1981.
She was a retired employee of Wallace Pencil Factory in Vandalia and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, David Larimer and his wife Sheila of Vandalia, and William Larimer and his wife Sue of Portland, Ore.; daughters, Janet and her husband Ray Hall of Brownstown, and Mary Jane Combs of Portland, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Connie Larimer; brother, Raymond Morse; and sisters, Lucille Brashear, twin Clarice Morse and Marge Waltz.
