Dean G. McNutt, 46, Vandalia

Dean G. McNutt, 46, of Vandalia, died at 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Tulsa, Okla.

According to Mr. McNutts wishes, the body was cremated. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Gabrielle Lorraine McNutt fund, c/o First National Bank in Vandalia.

Mr. McNutt was born on March 17, 1962, in Chicago, the son of Jimmy Dale and Eleanor Mae Wagner McNutt. He married Janice L. Himes on Nov. 8, 1991, in Vandalia.

He was a truck driver for Hogan Transport, and owners of Slice of Nature in Vandalia. He was active in pool and bowling leagues.

He is survived by his parents; wife; sons, Christopher McNutt and his wife Stacey of Mason, and Alexander Lee McNutt of Olney; daughter, Gabrielle Lorraine McNutt of Vandalia; brothers, Dale McNutt of Vandalia, Jamie McNutt of New Jersey, and Leland McNutt of Vandalia; sisters, Judy McNutt and friend Sally Verheille of Vandalia, and Lenora and her husband Shane Henson of Vandalia; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cayden McNutt of Vandalia.
