Betty Jean Baldwin, 75, of Carlyle and formerly of Mulberry Grove, died at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2008, at her home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, with the Rev. Al Simonson officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery, Hagarstown. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Crohns Foundation or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Mrs. Baldwin was born on May 26, 1932, in Mulberry Grove, the daughter of John Henry and Elizabeth Ellen Willis Richardson Ellsworth. She married Jack E. Baldwin on Dec. 3, 1949; they were later divorced.
She grew up in Mulberry Grove and attended Mulberry Grove High School. She reared her family in Greenville, worked at Utlaut Memorial Hospital in Greenville and had made Carlyle her home for the past 17 years.
She is survived by children, Jan and her husband Roger Fauke of Carlyle, Jim Baldwin and his wife Ruth of Greenville, and Jeff Baldwin and his wife Nancy of Nashville, Ill.; grandchildren, Jamie Baldwin, Carrie Baldwin, Erin McNurlen, Jesse Baldwin and Josh Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Codie Gelsinger and Jacob Fickes; sister, Ruby and her husband Earl Crump of Greenville; and brothers, Fred Richardson and his wife Lucille of Cottage Hills, and Floyd Richardson and his wife Wanda of Witt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Myrtle Neathery; and great-grandchildren, Tristan Baldwin and Dyllan Gelsinger.
