Elnora L. Collier, 86, Shobonier, died at 7:23 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Augsburg, with the Rev. Roger Wohletz officiating. Burial was in South Hill Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation was held an hour before services at the church on Saturday. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Collier was born on Oct. 25, 1921, in Shobonier, the daughter of Fred C. and Ollie Hoffman Busenhart. She married C. Donald Collier on June 11, 1949, in Vandalia; he died on Dec. 10, 1996.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aide.
She is survived by sons, Donald Collier of Indianapolis, Ind., Tom Collier and his wife Fran of Odin, John K. collier of Wooster, Ohio, and Gary L. Collier and his wife Cheryl of Downey, Calif; grandchildren, Jeremy Collier, Josh Collier, Chad Collier, Chris Collier, Nick Collier, Nathan Collier, David Collier, Megan Collier and Anna Collier; and a great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Collier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, James Busenhart.
