eoe’ Children may have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny from 8-10 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Vandalia. The fee of $5 covers the photo, a coloring page, face-painting, decorating a cookie and a chance to win an Easter basket. Proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
eoe’ A bake sale will be held at First State Bank of Beecher City, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with proceeds to help fund Jamie Morrison’s trip to Europe as a delegate with the People to People Ambassador Program.
eoe’ Vandalia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, located at 1500 W. St. Louis Ave. in Vandalia, will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. An egg hunt for children ages 2-4 will be held at 10 a.m., and one for ages 5-11 will be held at 10:30 a.m.
eoe’ The Vandalia Community Jaycees will hold their eighth annual Trivia Night at 7 p.m. at the Vandalia Eagles Club. The cost is $10 per person. The event will consist of 10 rounds, each containing 10 questions. Teams will be made up of five to eight individuals. The winning teams will receive cash prizes donated by National Bank. There will also be an Easter basket raffle.

eoe’ The Vandalia Lions Club will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. at Sonnemann Park on West Fillmore Street in Vandalia. The egg hunt will include three age groups: kindergarten age and younger; first- and second-graders; and third- and fourth-graders.

eoe’ A Project Parenting playgroup for children up through 5 years old will be held from 10-11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, St. Elmo.
eoe’ ‘Breakfast with the KC Board Chairman and President’ will be held from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the KC Vandalia Campus on West Fillmore Street. The breakfast is being held to allow the KC president, Dr. James Underwood, and the KC Board of Trustees chairman, Jim Beasley, to meet with area residents and discuss plans and activities at KC.
eoe’ Bible Blitz will be held from 7-8 p.m. at Parkview Free Methodist Church, which is located at 1507 W. Jefferson St. in Vandalia, for all children age 3 through sixth-grade age. Bible Blitz includes Bible study, music, crafts and games. The church also offers a youth group for junior high- and high school-aged students, as well as an adult Bible Study. All gatherings are open to the public.
