Gertrude M. Vincent, 77, of Forsyth and formerly of Fayette County, died on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at her home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Moundford Free Methodist Church in Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Visitation will be held an hour before services at the church. Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North in Decatur is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vincent was born on Feb. 17, 1931, in Fayette County, the daughter of James W. and Emma M. Horn Porter. She married Wilburn C. Vincent; he died in 1970.
She was a caregiver, and a member of Moundford Free Methodist Church in Womens Ministry International.
She is survived by a son, Timothy N. Vincent and his wife Patricia of Troy; daughter, Jill A. and her husband Daniel Parry of Osaka, Japan; brothers, John W. Porter and his wife Phyllis of Vandalia, and Wilbert C. Porter of Bloomington; sisters, Alice R. Davison of Vandalia, Helen M. and her husband Dale Bolyard of Brownstown, and Shirley I. Bean of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
