Gary Keith Hoover, 52, of rural Osage County, Mo., died while working on the family farm on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Ryors-Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Morton Chapel in Linn, Mo. Memorials: Ryors-Ebenezer United Church of Christ.
Mr. Hoover was born on June 20, 1955, in Vandalia, the son of John S. and Joyce O. Muma Hoover. He married Diane Nekola at Ryors-Ebenezer United Church of Christ on Sept. 3, 1994.
He was employed with the State of Missouri Office of Administration in the Facility Management Division. He was a member of Ryors-Ebenezer United Church of Christ for several years, and he served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time around his horses.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Crystal and her husband Todd Balkenbush of Westphalia, Mo., Kayci Hoover of Belle, Mo., and Renee Lebel of Licking, Mo.; stepsons, Steve Kesl and Bobby Kesl, both of Elberon, Mo.; sisters, Tina Jahn of Salem and Debbie Troxell of Brownstown; four grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Hoover, in 1988.
