Fern C. Hill, 87, of Nokomis, died at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Nokomis Rehab and Healthcare.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Coalton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Hall officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis.
Mrs. Hill was born on Feb. 6, 1920 in Macon County, the daughter of the Rev. Elmer and Amanda Henry Carter. She married Wilbur G. Hill on June 3, 1940, in Macon County.
She was a housewife and a member of Coalton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; children, Shirley and her husband Tony Vandenbergh of Nokomis, Linda L. and her husband Steve Michael of Vandalia, and Russell W. Hill and his wife Cathleen of Taylorville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Clemma O. Young of Jerseyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Erica Lin Harms, on June 10, 1977; and brothers, Wayne and Clyde Carter.
