Bernice M. Cramer, 72, of rural Pana, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Pana Community Hospital in Pana.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana, with Michael Keffer officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery in Oconee. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Donor’s choice.
Mrs. Cramer was born on Nov. 21, 1935, in Decatur, the daughter of Ernest R. and Dorine Ashby Eubank. She married Russell D. Cramer Sr. on Dec. 17, 1954, in Decatur; he died on Dec. 17, 2001.
She was a 1955 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. She moved to Pana in 1988 and was a homemaker for most of her life, but she also worked for the Salvation Army in Decatur. Later in life, she worked for Joe’s Mobile Homes and Lake Lawn Inn, both in Pana. She enjoyed word find puzzles, reading her Bible, yard sales and going to gambling boats.
She is survived by her children, Russell Dale Cramer Jr. and his fiance Barbara Appelt of Assumption, Rebecca D. and her husband Michael Keffer of Roanoke, Va., and Susan I. Wehrle and her significant other Steven Devall of Pana; grandchildren, Aaron Wehrle, Andy Wehrle and his wife Amber, Rusty Cramer and his wife Andrea, Jon Cramer, Caleb Keffer, Jennifer Cramer and her fianc Paul Lynch, Clint Keffer, Katie Keffer and Sandy Keffer; great-grandchildren, Rachel Fenton, Dylan Wehrle, Madison Wehrle, Collin Cramer and Ayden Lynch; sister, Helen Ernestine Ogilvie of Decatur; and special friends, Patricia ‘Pat’ Key of Mt. Zion and Myrna Beyers of Pana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Florence Williams and Phyllis Imogene Garner.
