Thomas George Boggs, 58, of Farina, died at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Doctors Nursing and Rehab Center in Salem.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. There is no visitation.
Mr. Boggs was born on Aug. 7, 1949, in Vandalia, the son of Louis F. Strawberry and Dorothy Mary Campbell Boggs.
He was an electronic technician with the U.S. Postal Service in Effingham, and had served in the U.S. Army from 1970-86.
He is survived by a brother, Michael Boggs and his wife Doris of Brownstown; sister, Janice Perkins of Albany, N.Y.; and special friend, Kenneth Nicodemus of Farina.
