Mayme Jeanette Siebert, 67, of Tamalco Township in Bond County, died at 4:11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Greenville Regional Hospital in Greenville.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenvilole, with the Rev. Tom Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday evening and before services on Monday. Memorials: Greenville Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Siebert was born on June 8, 1940, in Highland, the daughter of Harold Harry and Farrell Mary Rench Brown. She married Elvern D. Bud Siebert on Sept. 14, 1958, at Woburn Baptist Church, where she was a member.
She was reared in Woburn Baptist Church, but had been active at St. Peters United Church of Christ in Hookdale for her 49-plus years of marriage. She grew up on the Brown farm north of Mulberry Grove and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1958. She reared her children on the Siebert farm in Tamalco Township and later worked in the womens clothing department at Value City until forced to retire due to her health. Her husband cared for her during her many years with cancer.
She is survived by her husband; children, Janet and her husband Tony Tomlinson of Lebanon, Tenn., and Todd A. and his wife Mary Siebert of south of Greenville; grandchildren, Travis Alan Campbell, Elijah Caine Tomlinson, Lincoln Cole Siebert and Levi Graham Siebert; great-grandchildren, Maleah Grace Campbell and Madelyn Catre Campbell; and sisters, Marlene and her husband Ross Neal of rural Pocahontas, and Arlene Brown of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Marcella Ann Siebert and Kevin Dallas Siebert; and sisters, Mary Nancy Brown and Minnie Joann Brown.
