  • Lady Vandals improve to 8-0

Fittingly, on a night in which a team-first player, senior Laura Hobbie, was recognized for reaching a career scoring milestone, the Vandalia girls basketball squad demonstrated how it has used outstanding teamwork to ascend to the ranks of the top-10 Class 2A teams in the state.

  • VCHS girls game at Pana postponed

  • Lady Vandals stave off Hillsboro

The key to running an effective motion offense is no secret - you've got to stay in motion.

  • Greenville rallies past Vandals...

For 27 minutes, the Vandalia boys basketball team did everything it needed to do to pull off an upset of its biggest rival on the road.

Two weeks into the 2008-09 season, the Vandalia wrestling team finds itself in the exact same position it was in a year ago - undefeated.

  • Lady Vandals crush Greenville,...

Two days removed from its only close game of the season – a down-to-the-wire 42-37 win at Piasa-Southwestern Saturday – the Vandalia girls basketball team wasted little time making sure there would be no such drama Monday in its South Central Conference East Division opener against Greenville.

  • Vandals cruise past EA-Wood River

Playing in an oil refinery town that prides itself on its blue-collar image, the visiting Vandals were the team that put forth a hard-hat, lunch pail effort Friday in a 54-40 victory at East Alton-Wood River.

  • VCHS finishes 5th at CM...

Jake Etcheson won a championship in the 160-pound division, and Alex Foster came up just short of a title in the 140-pound division, but it wasn’t enough to propel the Vandalia wrestling team to yet another first-place finish at the Bethalto Civic Memorial Invitational Saturday.
