    MULBERRY GROVE – A former Mulberry Grove player and a senior transfer each committed last Friday to play softball for Lewis and Clark Community College.

    The St. Elmo eighth-grade volleyball team placed second at the Vandalia Tournament on Saturday, falling to the hosts in two sets.

  • Vandalia Eighth-Graders Win Own...

    The Vandalia eighth-grade volleyball team won the championship of its own tournament on Saturday, defeating St. Elmo in two sets.

  • Wollerman Honored for Milestone

    Vandalia senior Haley Wollerman was honored prior to last Thursday's game for becoming the 11th girl in school history to score 1,000 career points.

    Vandals fall to Marquette; to honor seniors on Friday
    The Vandalia boys basketball team trailed by one at halftime against Marquette Catholic on Saturday, but the Explorers had a strong second half to take the win, 62-46.
    Senior Dathan Berning led the Vandals with 16 points, and junior Leyton Godoyo had 11, including three 3-pointers.
    The Vandals trailed 21-20 at halftime, but Marquette outscored Vandalia, 21-12, in the third period to take control.

  • Two Vandalia football players...

    Two of the most important players on Vandalia’s football team this past season will continue their careers in college.

    Fullback Levi Ulmer and linebacker Blake Mills last Thursday each signed a letter of intent to play college football.
    Ulmer will attend Ripon College in Ripon, Wis., and Mills will attend McKendree University in Lebanon.

    TEUTOPOLIS - Senior Haley Wollerman and junior Amber Bruno combined to score 49 points on Monday night during Vandalia's 65-32 win against Casey-Westfield in the first round of the Teutopolis regional tournament.

    Both players, along with sophomore Morgan Cripe, also advanced to the next round of the 3-point shootout, which will start at about 5:23 p.m. on Tuesday. At 6 p.m., the No. 4 Lady Vandals will battle top-seeded Marshall
