  • Girls notes: Whightsil becoming a scorer

Senior Morgan Whightsil is emerging as Vandalia’s much-needed third scorer.

With 20 points in three games since the calendar changed to December, Whightsil has taken some of the scoring pressure off of senior Amber Bruno and junior Megan Godoyo.

It all started at Southwestern on Dec. 1, when she had a season-high 10 points to help try to bridge the scoring gap that was left because Megan Godoyo was not playing after controversially being ejected the game before.
