  • Bombers top Rams in five innings

    BROWNSTOWN – The Bombers scored in every inning against county rival Ramsey last Friday to pick up their first win of the season.

    Senior Levi Maxey struck out seven Rams over his three innings of work and added an RBI double to lead Brownstown/St. Elmo to a 15-5 win in six innings.

    BSE’s offense got rolling early, scoring five runs in the first inning, and the Bombers (1-1) led 11-1 going to the fifth inning.

    Ramsey, however, wasn’t ready to be run-ruled that quickly, scoring four times in the fifth to force another inning.

  • SEB softball falls to Flora in opener

    St. Elmo/Brownstown lost its softball season-opener, 14-9, at Flora on Tuesday.

  • Area Prep Roundup (March 6)

    The seventh-grade volleyball team defeated Gillespie, 15-25, 25-19, 27-25, in the first round of the Hillsboro Regional. Next up is Staunton on Thursday at 6 p.m.
    The seventh-grade volleyball team lost to St. Anthony, 25-12, 25-21, in the first round of the Albion Regional.
