Kate Carlson said that the two books she has written “are kind of a combination of one story, but then again, each has its own story.”

The homebound and disabled in the community can still enjoy hot, nutritious meals in their own homes, and also enjoy seeing the face of the friendly,caring people delivering their food.

Sharon LaDage retired from teaching approximately 10 years ago, but her interest, involvement and promotion in helping to provide a better education for young people has not waned; in fact, it has only intensified.

Last week’s Fayette Faces featured Sophia, a little 5-year-old girl who is now in the worst stage of spinal muscular atrophy, and whose only wish was for a service dog to retrieve objects she dropped and to be her companion, a “buddy.” She asked for an orange dog, because that is her favorite color.
Also featured was “Tony,” a golden retriever, a family pet that had lost his family and little girl due to circumstances that made them unable to properly care for him. They placed him in caring hands.

Kaitlyn Kramer graduated from Brownstown High School with the class of 2007. During her senior year, she worked for a while with special education students in a classroom, and decided she wanted to continue in that field.

When Ed Taylor Jr. recently stepped into the shoes of the retiring chief, Merle Adermann, the “fit” was not exact, but as Taylor had been first assistant chief for several years, he had an idea of what the “walk” in those shoes would be like.
