VANDALIA – Karlie Bright started her season in a sophomore slump.
But she broke out of it in a big way last Saturday.
Bright scored a career-high 17 points during a 63-38 loss to undefeated Southwestern in the South Central Conference opener, more than doubling her season scoring average and easily besting her pervious career-high of eight.
“She works her butt off probably better than anybody on our team,” said coach Michelle McNary. “She just wasn’t hitting her shots.
