  • Kaskaskia College

    Saturday is Registration Day
    Kaskaskia College will be hosting a special spring 2015 Registration Day at the main campus and all education centers from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.
    Departments providing services for the day will include advisement, admissions and registration, placement testing, financial aid, library and bookstore.
    Advising will be available on a walk-in basis that day. The cashier’s office will be open to accept payments or set up payment plans.

  • Greenville College to become Greenville University in 2017

    Greenville College announced in December that at their November meeting, the Greenville College Board of Trustees unanimously approved to transition the institution’s name from Greenville College to Greenville  University.
    Greenville College will celebrate its new identity as Greenville  University on Sept. 20, 2017, also marking the 125th anniversary of the institution’s first convocation ceremony in 1892. The official 1,000-day countdown to this historic event began on Christmas Day.

    The new year is here, and with it is often comes a resolution to get into shape.
    I have been to a store that sells used exercise equipment. It is called Second Wind Exercise Equipment. I have observed that following Christmas, many stores have sales on exercise equipment.
    They offer discounts and incentives for purchasing the most modern and up-to-date equipment.
    A few months later, folks begin selling their latest and greatest exercise equipment simply because they don’t use it.

    Critters Wanting & Needing Sunshine
    We have had several inquiries about the critters’ welfare during the wet and chilly weather. The late, lovely RoseyLee Duck (who Bill always referred to as Miss America) did not mind our wet and muddy yard, but Lady, the mini-horse and Mother Madricka and Baby Bucky (donkeys) are pretty much staying in their dry, straw-strewn barn.
