    • Jacob D. Tedrick, 27, 2 Oakwood Lane, Brownstown, was arrested on June 26 for failure to appear in court. Bond was $5,000.
    • Two 16-year-olds were arrested on June 26 on a charge of possession of cannabis. One of the juveniles was also arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on notices to appear in court.
    • Charles E. Glick, 45, 804 Old Theater Drive, Vandalia, was arrested on June 25 on a charge of battery. Bond was $1,500.

  • Bond is $500,000 in cigarettes case

    Bond has been set at $500,000 for a New Jersey man arrested on cigarette charges on Sunday in Fayette County.
    Mohammed A. Mustafa, 29, of North Bergin, N.J., was taken into custody on Sunday, according to Fayette County Jail records.
    On Monday, the Illinois Office of Attorney General filed two felony counts against Mustafa in Fayette County Circuit Court.

    “This store will be replacing an existing station and we intend to earn each customer’s business and grow the relationships built at this location over the years,” John Wortman, owner and operator, said.
