    Natasha Nicole Barker and Justin Eugene Elmore were united in marriage on July 9, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church in rural Vandalia.

    The bride is the daughter of Steve and Michele Barker of Vandalia.
    She chose her sister, Jessica Levanti, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ember Barnhart, Kristin Charlesworth and Jamie Elmore.
    The groom chose Jeff Ray, Ty Freeland, Clint Brown and Brandt Summers as his best men. Ushers were Kyle Barker and Egan McClary.
    Libby Watson was the flower girl, and Parker Ray was the ring bearer.

    The Kaskaskia College Vandalia Campus will be offering a wide variety of community classes in November.
    • Beekeeping II will be held Saturday, Nov.12.
    This course will get you on the road to your own colony of honey bees.
    The class will be held from 9 a.m.-noon. The registration number is COED 8033VA02W.
    • Writing your own life story will be held Mondays and Tuesdays, Nov. 14-Dec. 5.

    Sixty-eight classmates from of the class of 1966 gathered in Vandalia for their 45th VCHS class reunion the weekend of Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

    Fall dinner Sunday at St. Mary's Church

    St. Mary's Church on U.S. Route 40 in St. Elmo will be holding a fall dinner this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    The meal will offer a choice of turkey or roast beef, plus all the trimmings.
    The price is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for pre-schoolers. Carryouts are available. For more information, call 829-3908.
