    Family, friends, instructors and college officials joined together on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Kaskaskia College Vandalia’s Campus to congratulate the 2011 graduating class of licensed practical nurses.

  • KC enhances horticulture program

    The Kaskaskia College Horticulture Program will offer an associate’s degree to go along with its current one-year certificate program.
    Jennifer Heinzmann, horticulture program director, believes that the degree program will help to enhance program growth and future offerings.
    Horticulture incorporates many diverse disciplines, ranging from greenhouse management to landscape design, and maintenance to floral arranging and more.

    ExxonMobil recently awarded $1,000 to Brownstown Elementary School for use with its science and math curriculums. In the photo, Exxon employee Michael Whitten presents the check to BES Principal Angela Reeter on Monday. The school plans to buy materials and supplies for science experiments and math manipulatives.
