  • Methodist Men Distribute Coats & Shoes

    The Methodist Men of Vandalia were at Vandalia Elementary School on Tuesday for their annual distribution of coats and shoes to help families and students in the area.

    Present for the gift-giving were David Dugan, Jim Staff, Jeff Endres, Mike Baker and Brent Hunter. Coats, shoes, hats and gloves were distributed to 55 students. In the first photo, Dugan helps Haley Fender with a new pair of shoes. In the second photo, Endres (foreground), Dugan and Hunter (background, at right) present gifts to Kaci Turner, Kyli Sidwell and Chase Bunyard.

    Murrell performs at UE concert
    The University of Evansville announced that Ian Murrell performed at the Department of Music’s 33rd annual Holiday Pops concert.
    Murrell, a resident of Vandalia, is majoring in music performance.
    Holiday Pops took place on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Downtown Evansville’s Victory Theatre. The concert brings together ensembles and soloists, including the university’s choirs, orchestra, and wind and jazz ensembles to perform holiday favorites.

  • KC will offer weekend business courses at Vandalia Campus

    Kaskaskia College continues to offer classes at times and places that are convenient to the students of the district.
    The Education Centers at Greenville, Nashville, Salem, Trenton and Vandalia have collaborated to offer the Small Business Accounting Certificate and the Certificate of Accounting that will start in the spring 2013semester.
    A Small Business Accounting Certificate requires 22 credit hours and by continuing classes, students can obtain a Certificate of Accounting requiring 34 hours.

  • KC Vandalia Campus spring registration is under way

    Registration for classes at the KC Vandalia Campus for the 2013 spring semester is now in progress.
    Most spring classes will begin the week of Jan. 14, 2013.
