    Mammography seminar on July 15
    Kaskaskia College will host a mammography seminar for mammographers from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, in the Lifelong Learning Center on the main campus.
    The seminar is free to Kaskaskia College Radiology Program clinical instructors and $40 for all other mammographers and radiographers.

  • KC announce KICK classes in July

    The Office of Continuing/Community Education at Kaskaskia College has announced the schedule for KICK classes to be held in July at the Vandalia Campus on West Fillmore Street.
    • Dodgeball – Students will learn to play the game of dodgeball. This class will be held at the Fayette County YMCA on Monday through Friday, July 7-11, from 9-10 a.m. The class is for students in grades 2-4, and the cost is $15. The registration number is CKICK 5419 VA01D.

    The staff and students of Brownstown Jr.-Sr. High, along with their families, have collected 24.6 pounds of pop tabs during the school year.

    The Fayette County Health Department sponsored a Healthy Living poster contest to all Fayette County students in grades 2-8.

  • KC Vandalia

    Healthy heart workshop
    The University of Illinois Extension Center, in partnership with Kaskaskia College, is offering a two-day “Meals for a Healthy Heart” workshop on Monday and Wednesday, June 23 and 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Vandalia Campus.
    The course number is COED-8091-VA01E. All students pay a $20 registration fee.

  • Ramsey eighth-graders advance to State History Fair

    On Thursday, May 8, five eighth-grade students from Ramsey Junior High participated in the Illinois State History Fair held at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.

    St. Louis College of Pharmacy
    Joe Critcheloe of Vandalia graduated with a doctorate degree from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy on May 4.

    Critcheloe is currently residing and working in St. Charles, Mo.
    He is the son of Kathy Critcheloe and Mike Critcheloe, and the grandson of Marvin and Pat Nichols, and Judy Critcheloe and the late Ken Critcheloe.
