    New Student Orientation
    Kaskaskia College invites its new students to attend New Student Orientation on the Vandalia Campus.
    The free program is designed to introduce students to information and contacts important for a successful start of their college experience.
    Information about services, activities and classroom success strategies will be included. Students will be given resources they will be able to use throughout their time at KC.

  • Jefferson Primary Fun Fest

    Jefferson Primary School in Vandalia will hold its annual Fun Fest this Friday, from 5-8 p.m.
    The Fun Fest will include a variety of games and activities, as well as a hot dog and chili supper.
    From 4:30-8 p.m., Hosick Motors in Vandalia is holding a Chrysler Drive for the Kids fundraiser. During that time, any licensed driver who is at least 18 years old may test drive a Chrysler Town & Country and raise money for the school. Each driver earns a $10 donation for the school.

    On a recent Friday, the freshmen class at Vandalia Community High School was treated to a day out of the classroom.

  • Mole Day Proclamation

    Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman signed a proclamation declaring this Tuesday as Mole Day in Vandalia.

    Mole Day is a day created as a way to foster students' interest in chemistry. Shown with the mayor are Vandalia Community High School students Paige Ehrat, Caitlin Alverson and Jordan Boren.

    About 225 people attended the Vandalia All-School Reunion held at the American Legion Home in Vandalia.
