The Office of Continuing/Community Education at Kaskaskia College announces the schedule for KICK classes to be held in June at the Vandalia Campus, located at 2310 W. Fillmore St.
More than 500 FFA members, County Farm Bureau managers and FFA advisers from 83 Illinois counties attended the 2014 Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates Youth Conference April 7-8 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield.
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will offer an “Interesting Insects” class at the Vandalia Campus from 8 a.m.-noon this Saturday.
The registration number for the class is COED-8080-VA01W.
This is an introductory course on identifying, studying and collecting insects, both beneficial and economically damaging. Equipment and procedures for collecting and preserving insects will be covered, along with the various insect orders and possible careers in entomology.
The St. Elmo High School Alumni Banquet will be held May 24 at the St. Elmo High School gym.
The banquet is open to anyone who has attended St. Elmo school, as well as family members, friends, teachers and support staff.
Registration begins at 5 p.m., and dinner is at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal is $12.
