• Essay Contest Winners

    The three winners in the essay contest held by the Fayette County Health Department during National Public Health Week, April 7-11.

    The theme was "The Importance of Public Health in a Rural Community." The winners are, from left: Sydney Werner of St. Elmo, third; Isaac Daiber of Vandalia, first; and Morgan Cauble of Ramsey, second. They received cash prizes. The essay contest was open to all ninth- and 10th-graders in the county.

  • New admission process for KC nursing program

    Students applying for admission to the nursing program at Kaskaskia College for the spring 2015 semester will be using a new admission process.
    The new admission process will use test results attained on the Test of Essential Academic Skills as the basis for admission to the nursing program.
    The test was created by ATI Nursing Education, which is part of Ascend Learning and is currently being used by 2,100 colleges and universities across the country to provide technology-based assessment solutions for healthcare education.

    Registration for classes for the 2014 Summer Semester at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Campus is now in progress and applications are still being accepted.

  • KC Massage Therapy Grads

    Kaskaskia College recently held its annual pinning ceremony for the massage therapy program class of 2014.

  • 'Extreme Couponing' class is June 6

    The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will offer an “Extreme Couponing” class at the Vandalia Campus from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, June 9.
    The registration number for the class is COED-8058-VA02W.
    This course will educate students on how to find coupons and use them for savings. Students will receive knowledge of the different types of coupons, including newspaper inserts, online coupons and digital coupons, and how to find coupons sales.
