  • BHS Homecoming is Saturday

    Brownstown High School will hold its homecoming dance this Saturday evening from 8-11 p.m., with the coronation set for 8 p.m.

    At right are the homecoming candidates and freshman attendants.     Nursing test prep course
    The new Kaskaskia College Nursing Program admission process will use test results attained on the Test of Essential Academic Skills as the basis for admission to the program.
    The test was created by ATI Nursing Education, which is part of Ascend Learning and is currently being used by 2,100 colleges and universities across the country to provide technology-based assessment solutions for healthcare education.

    ‘Feeding Your Family for Less’
    The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education, in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension, will present the class “More Bang for Your Buck: Feeding Your Family for Less” through the KC Vandalia Campus.
    The class will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the U of I Extension office at 118 N Sixth St. in Vandalia.
    The registration number for the class is COED-8098-VA01E.
