• Maranatha's Raises $3,203 For Mammography

    Maranatha's Salon, Spa and Tanning held a Keep Abreast/Spread the Love event last Thursday to raise money for a new digital mammography machine at Fayette County Hospital.

    Crete Carrier Corp. names Berst 'driver of month'
    Vandalia resident, Robert Berst, has been named "driver of the month" at the Crete Carrier Corp. terminal in Indianapolis.
    Berst, who started driving for Crete Carrier 12 years ago, has logged 1.5 million miles. For the award, he received a plaque, and he will compete with other monthly winners for the company's "driver of the year" award.

    Vandal Wash to support boosters
    During September and October, Vandal Wash is offering a special way for Vandal fans to support the Vandalia Sports Booster Club.
    A special access code is available, and each time that code is used for a $10 car wash, $2 will be donated to the Vandalia Sports Booster Club. The club does various projects to enhance local school sports programs and facilities.
    The code to benefit the booster club is 1230.
