    Carole Marie Kirkpatrick, 73, of Beecher City, died at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

    Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until time of services at the church.     Flossie F. Smith Tish, 89, of Brownstown, died at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
    Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Claggett Funearl Home in Brownstown, with Richard Tift officiating. Burial was in Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown.     Mrs. Tish was born on June 17, 1921, in Brownstown, the daughter of Earl and Olive Hopper Smith.

    Nina Irene Byxbe, 91, of the Phoenix, Ariz., area, and formerly of Mulberry Grove, died at 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Park Regency Nursing Home in Chandler, Ariz.

    Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove.

    Mrs. Byxbe was born on Jan. 22, 1920, near Mulberry Grove, the daughter of Guy Arnold and Lena A. Elmore Lynn. She married Robert K. Byxbe; he preceded her in death.

    Jimmie O. Patterson, 78, of St. Peter, died on Monday, May 30, 2011, in St. Peter.

    Per Mr. Patterson’s wishes, his remains were cremated, and a family memorial service will be held.

    Mr. Patterson was born on Nov. 3, 1932, in Greely, Mo., the son of John and Dessie B. Lorance Patterson.

    Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Shobonier, with the Rev. David Hoehler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held two hour prior to service. Pagel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
