Following the welcome extended by the women of St. James Lutheran Church, a tribute was given for the late pianist, Richard Tucker, who so generously gave of his time and talent to play for many Lenten Luncheons.

Jay Smith was then introduced as the speaker, and he began by sharing that he was a fourth generation member baptized at St. James Lutheran and had received his Christian education there.
He said that he wanted to speak a little bit about the words “vocation” and “application.
