     In my Evergreen Outreach article last month, I believe I was complaining about all of the rain we were having. Don’t you wish we could have a little of that rain now? Every time I am out in the heat, I thank God that I can go home to a cool house.

  • Former St. Louis Cardinals catcher Mike Matheny spoke at last Wednesday's recognition event sponsored by the Vandalia Christian Athletes.

    In the first photo, Nathaniel Weaver receives a handshake and a certificate from Matheny for completing the Vandalia Christian Athletes camp. Matheny also spoke to the group assembled at the Vandalia Junior High School gymnasium, sharing his baseball memories and his Christian faith.

  • A Sad Farewell to “Pricey”…
    …our beloved and sweet great pyrnese. “Pricey,” was beautiful in appearance, with her thick and long white coat, her baby seal-like large dark eyes, and in her sweet and lovable disposition.
    She was 9 years old, and still acted much like a younger dog.
