    Allen and Jeanette Sasse of rural Shobonier celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17 with a renewal of vows at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Augsburg.

    The girls (hens), Anita and Blackie, have cut back on the egg production this week, but that’s OK. If it is too hot to lay the eggs, it is also too hot to cook them.

    The St. Peter American Legion Auxiliary Unit 380 met at the Legion Home at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, with 11 members present.

  • Blood drive Aug. 9 at Liberty Christian

    A blood drive will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Liberty Christian Church from 2:30-6:30 p.m.
    Donors are entered in a drawing to win a $250 weekly gas card, and will be entered in a car giveaway sweepstakes.
