    The program manager for this outreach meeting was Beverly Hood. She introduced singers Judy Varga and Randy Schukar, who would perform later.
    The refreshments of cookies and tea were provided by Retha Burnam and Priscilla Roeder. Bernie Ray played the piano while everyone enjoyed their refreshments and visited; with 10 tables full of people visiting and catching up from last week, it does take a while to catch up on things.

    Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter spent the weekend with their daughter, Mahala Harpster of Gray Summit, Mo.
    On Saturday, they took a tour of Purina Farms and finished the day shopping in Chesterfield.
    On Sunday, they attended a fish fry hosted by the uncle of Nathan Jacquin to celebrate Mahala’s birthday.

    Saturday evening worship attendance was 121. Acolyte was Logan Lotz.

    The descendants of John Frank and Pearl (Leininger) Libell, and his sister, Isaac Noah and Lela Ellen (Libell) Linton, gathered in Vandalia City Park on Sunday, June 3.

  • Jerry and Karen Little of Hewitt, Texas, formerly of Vandalia, were surprised with a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary on May 20 at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.
    Fifty family members and friends were present for the celebration, which was organized by the couple’s children, Debbie Little Smith and David Little.
    The Littles were married on June 16, 1962, in Vandalia.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pryor of Vandalia celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
