Lilly Caroline Burrow
John and Dawn Burrow of Altamont are the parents of a girl born at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 19½ inches long. She was named Lilly Caroline.
Grandparents are Brian and Sharon Bell-Carruthers, and Dan and Marilyn Burrow, all of Altamont.
Great-grandparents are J.R. and Nancy Bell of St. Elmo, Dorothy Burrow and the late Norman Burrow of Altamont, and J. Marshall and Carla Mollet of Greenville.

Garrison Reunion
The Garrison family reunion was held Sunday, Aug. 8, at the St. Elmo City Park, with 33 present.
Ervin Garrison gave the blessing before the noon meal.
A short business meeting was held and the treasurer’s report was given.
Marriage recorded: Sarah Garrison and Matt Gillman, November 2009. Birth: Ryan Gabriel Haslett on Feb. 22, 2010, to Chris and Bern Haslett.
One death, that of Lois “Imogine” Garrison, on Jan. 5, 2010.

Debbie Huber holds the 47-pound watermelon she grew on the Huber farm northwest of Vandalia. She also grew a watermelon weighing close to 30 pounds.

Kimberley Moore of Patoka and Ryan Chappel of Vandalia were united in marriage on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the home of her parents by the pond, officiated by John Klockenga.  
The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Puanani Moore of Patoka.
She chose Sarah Payne, Ashley Towler and Laura Thoman, all friends of the bride, and Megan Chappel, sister of the groom, as her bridesmaids.
The groom is the son of Ernie and Tammy Chappel and Diane Chappel, all of Vandalia.
