  • Community Thanksgiving Service
    A Community Thanksgiving service was held at First Christian Church of Brownstown Sunday evening.
    A 10-minute prelude was given by Robin Lovett and Susan Smith on the piano, organ and chimes.
    The Ladies Trio of First Christian Church opened the song service with a song with a Latin beat, “It is Good To Give Thanks.” The song service, led by Kevin Bonifacius with Cathy Smith and Joann Strobel, included songs of praise and thanksgiving.

  • The Rev. Pete and Pam LeDuc and their daughter, Aimee, will offer special thanks this year as they gather together with the rest of their family around the table.

  • Krista Suzanne Kukowski of Greenville and Capt. Adam Ward Cole of Vandalia were united in marriage at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at First Christian Church in Greenville, with Darryl Bolen officiating.

  • Hattie Anderson, who was born on Nov. 12, 1912, now lives at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.

  • Volleyball
    The St. Peter Lady Saints traveled to Springfield to compete in the LSA State Volleyball Tournament over the weekend.
    They finished in eighth place out of 24 teams.
    Turkey Supper
    St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and School are having a turkey supper on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. in the school gym.
    Weekend Visitors
    Mahala Harpster of Gray Summit, Mo., and fiancé Nathan Jacquin of Washington, Mo., spent the weekend with Mahala’s parents, Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter.
