    A three-day revival is planned for Sept. 21-23 at New Bethel Baptist Church northwest of Ramsey.
    Preaching during the revival will be David Keyes, an evangelist from Paducah, Ky., who formerly lived in Fillmore.
    Evening services will be held at 7 p.m. each night, and a basket dinner homecoming event will be held on Sunday.

    …for the trip south for the winter.
    Several readers have commented on the increased activity around their hummingbird feeders, filling up with nutrients for their trip to their winter headquarters.
    They are amazing little creatures. One wonders if they make “pit stops” along the way south to refuel their delicate little bodies.

    Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter spent the weekend with their daughter, Amanda Eller and family, in Jackson, Mo.
    On Saturday, the family enjoyed a cookout at the home of Ben, Amanda, Madison, and Dru Eller.
    Those attending were: Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter, Mahala Harpster of Gray Summit, Mo., and her fiancé Nathan Jacquin of Washington, Mo., and Mitch, Gretchen and Owen Harpster of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
