  • Evergreen Outreach-June 30, 2011

    By Joyce Mueller
Evergreen Outreach should be regarded as a warm and welcoming place to congregate each Monday.
Many of those attending get to come through the availability of the Operation OUTING bus, as well as other outings provided throughout the year.
All of the EO programs receive thanks and appreciation from everyone who attends.
On stage this week were David and Patricia Pence, the SoftFire duo from Hillsboro. They always present outstanding music and songs, using a variety of musical instruments.

I don’t know about all of you,  but I was very happy to have a warm DRY day on Monday. With all the rain we have had,  you can almost see the grass and weeds growing. I took advantage of the day and mowed my yard on Monday afternoon, as it looks like we have more rain in the forecast.
We will be praying for some of this rain in August. It seems that we are never satisfied with the weather.

A few months ago, I heard this incredible story on a radio talk show that I listen to every night. Through research on the Internet, I found that it is, in fact, a true story and was taken from a speech given by former Arkansas governor and potential presidential candidate Mike Huckabee at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. on March 2, 2007.
