It’s President’s Day! How thankful we should be that our founding fathers cared enough about this country to lay a firm foundation of faith, freedom and hope.
George Washington and Abraham Lincoln would have enjoyed EO on Monday. There were devotionals, refreshments,  and lots of singing and dancing (involving both volunteers and guests).

  • On God's playing field, we're all on even footing

Most everyone enjoys some type of competitive activity. Some  who say they  don’t seem to compete in their dislike of competition. In many competitive activities, participants have developed handicapping systems, so that people of differing abilities can compete on a level playing field.

At Evergreen Outreach, when it comes to the heart, everyone is family and every Monday is Valentine’s Day.
Accenting this week’s Valentine's Day party were hearts in various forms, which included decorations on the tables as well as on the piano.
Our pianist, Bernie Ray, selected lovely and appropriate music as the guests arrived. Volunteers served refreshments of cookies, iced tea and coffee.

Evergreen Outreach met on Monday at First United Methodist Church's Wesley Hall,  with Pam Childers on the piano.
Beulah Brown was the leader for the afternoon. All enjoyed the leadership and entertainment of these two great ladies.
As always, our dedicated servers, Marie Sutton, Erna Wasmuth, Ruth Ann Scott and Jeanne Schlicht, served some delicious cookies, which were enjoyed by all.

I don’t envy Moses. He had a big job, but he also served a big God!
This became clear to me when I read the Old Testament book of Numbers.
