  • There are times that our hope needs a little help

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13.12

These past three years, the Vandalia Ministerial Alliance has sponsored the National Day of Prayer. Until 2009, Duane Luallen organized this event for more than 20 years. When Duane gave it up for health reasons, it took several ministers to do what he had done. As a community and a ministerial alliance, we are eternally grateful to Duane for his outstanding contributions over the years!

We celebrated birthdays for Gladys Meador, Mickie Wilson, Mary Gebke, Ewald Steiner, Virginia Wolf, Steve Longwell and Eleanor McNutt. Phyllis Rames followed with a prayer for everyone.
