Monday was such an eventful day at Evergreen Outreach. We were greeted by the wonderful members of SoftFire, who sang several tunes, including: “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “The Marine Song,” “Old-Time Religion,” “The Tennessee Waltz,” “Georgia On My Mind,” “This Land Is Your Land” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.”
We are so blessed to have David and Patricia Pence in our midst.

  • It is through the Holy Spirit that we are able to become Christlike people

Many parents have tried to teach their children an attitude of gratitude by teaching them to say “thank you” whenever they receive a gift or a compliment. Some adults always make an affirmative response when they receive a gift or compliment.

The program manager for this outreach meeting was Beverly Hood. She introduced singers Judy Varga and Randy Schukar, who would perform later.
The refreshments of cookies and tea were provided by Retha Burnam and Priscilla Roeder. Bernie Ray played the piano while everyone enjoyed their refreshments and visited; with 10 tables full of people visiting and catching up from last week, it does take a while to catch up on things.

Monday’s showers reminded us of the song, “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.” And we were SO rejoicing over that! Though it was good for the farmers, Monday’s rain did cause our crowd at Evergreen Outreach to be a little short.
Donna Smith greeted us with her great collection of music. She doesn’t need the notes before her to play the piano – only the titles of the songs. We do enjoy and appreciate her.

Not long ago, I was traveling home from a visit with my daughter and I made a stop in Atlanta.
While waiting in the gate area for the flight to St. Louis, I noticed two things that could be used for this article.
