  • In EVERYTHING you do, do it for the glory of God

If you had to think back through your day today, if you were honest, what would you  say was the most important thing to you today?

Yes, summer finally is here! It was lovely and warm as we started the Evergreen Outreach meeting on Monday; wish we could save some for this winter!
Bernie Ray welcomed everyone with her sweet piano music – minus the sheet music.  She just sits down and lets her fingers do the playing.
Our refreshments were served and we sang "Happy Birthday" to those with birthdays: Janet Lusch, Betty Stone, Erna Wasmuth, Pauline Radcliff, Norma Shafter, Norma Simmons and Randy Owens.

It took a while to get warmed up. But after we got started, our hearts were melting! Our leader on Monday was the Rev. Jim Fackler, and Donna Smith played sweet music to welcome all our friends. Pam Baker made the cookies we used for refreshments. Thanks very much.
We started by singing the  "Welcome" song, and we sang "Happy Birthday" to Ruth Ann Scott, Jessie Gordon, Louise Kruenegel, Margaret Penn, Victor Vandre and Lynette Wise.

  • Good works aren't enough; you must KNOW Jesus

Matthew 7:21-23 says: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name and do many miracles in your name?’ Then I will announce to them, ‘I never KNEW you! Depart from me, you lawbreakers!’”

Mary Crawford, 90 years young, was honored at Evergreen Outreach on Monday with a beautifully decorated birthday cake, provided by her daughter-in-law, Sue Harrison. Mary wore a “spring chicken” apron, and after all had sung “Happy Birthday,” she was given a plastic dancing chick by the leader of the day, Beulah Brown. Beulah then had Mary come forward and tell about her early life, which was very interesting. (It was the days when all children had chores before play!)
