  • Perry – DeCloedt

    Aubrea Perry and Jonathon DeCloedt, both of Indianapolis, Ind., were married in an 11 a.m. ceremony on Oct. 19, 2015, in Brown County, Ind.

  • Hickerson – Rogers

    Abigail Christine Hickerson of Shobonier and Ronald Keith Rogers of Patoka were married on Sept. 12, 2015, in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony at Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Josh Frazee officiating.

    The bride, the daughter of Steve and Caryl Hickerson of Shobonier, was given in marriage by her father.
    Abby wore a strapless, A-line ivory gown with tulle inset, and crystal and beading accents along the neckline, bodice and corseted back. Her dress had a chapel-length train, and she wore a two-tier, elbow-length veil with a beaded edge.

  • Johnson – 65 years

    Stan and Nadine Johnson celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this Wednesday.

  • Langley – 50 years

    Bob and Joan Langley of Vandalia celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 19.
    A family dinner celebration was held, and a trip through America by rail is planned for mid-August.

  • Miley – 60 years

    Emmet and Cora Miley of rural Beecher City will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14.

  • Durbin – Meseke

    Ashley Durbin and Tyler Meseke have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    The future bride is the daughter of Kent and Teresa Durbin of Vandalia, and the future groom is the son of Curt and Lori Meseke of Vandalia.
    The couple are planning an Aug. 22 wedding at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Augsburg, and will reside in the Vandalia area.

    Amber Nicole Durbin of Vandalia and Alex Scott Norris of Beecher City have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    Sharon Burnette and Bud Seigel, both of Vandalia, have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    The future bride is the mother of Thomas J. Bivens Jr. of Centralia, Nicole Bivens of Salem and Bobbie Ball of Centralia.
    The future groom is the father of Ashley Seigel of Vandalia.
    The couple are planning a private wedding on Aug. 1 at their home, followed by a reception with family and friends at 5 p.m. at the Mad Dog Clubhouse in Vera.
