    Merle and Georgi Adermann of Vandalia will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this Sunday.


    Merle Adermann and Georgi Stombaugh were married on July 29, 1972, in Vandalia.
    Georgi is a registered nurse at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, and Merle works as maintenance director at Brookstone Estates in Vandalia.
    They are the parents of three children: Dana Brown (deceased), Katie Adermann of Taylorville and Matthew Adermann of Taylorville. They have three grandchildren: Darin and Mattie Brown, and Lola Dana-Jean Hackney.

    John Jennings of Beecher City and Sharon Ernest of St. Elmo were married on July 30, 1962.
    They have two daughters: Tammy and her husband Kenny, and Lisa and her husband David, both of Louisville, Ky.; and two granddaughters, Sarah and Macie.

    Ian Noah Zenker
    Jon and Andrea Zenker of West Chicago are the parents of a boy born at 9:06 p.m. on April 4, 2012, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.


    He weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 21 inches long. He was named Ian Noah, and he has a brother, Evan, age 2.
    Grandparents are Dannie and Patty Donaldson of Vandalia, and Steve and Arlene Zenker of Hampshire.
    Great-grandparents are Herschel and Barb Ambuehl of Farina.
