    Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Newburn will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7.


    Ronald Newburn and Barbara Young were married on Sept. 7, 1962, at Macedonia Christian Church in rural St. Elmo. Their attendants were Edwin Mattix of St. Elmo and Marjorie (Young) Daugherty of Louisville, Ill.
    The couple will celebrate their anniversary at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, at Macedonia Christian Church.
    Family members, friends and neighbors are invited to attend.

    Bill and Iris Rademacher of Vandalia will observe their 60th wedding anniversary this Friday.

    Bill Rademacher and the former Iris Brooks were married on Aug. 17, 1952, at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with the late Rev. Bill Henderson officiating.
    They are the parents of three children: Steve Rademacher and his wife Barb of Imperial, Mo.; David Rademacher and his wife Leann of Centralia; and Lea Ann and her husband Bruce Rubin of St. Peter.
    They have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Alayna Sue VonBehren
    Seth and Meredith VonBehren of Troy are the parents of a girl born at 2:48 a.m. on June 28, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
    She weighed 7 pounds, and was 20 inches long. She was named Alayna Sue.
    Grandparents are Allan and Sheri VonBehren of Shobonier, Kenny and Kristy Arnold of Shobonier, and Sonny Banal of Vandalia.
    Great-grandparents are Carrol Dugan of Shobonier, and Julius and Mary Ellen Banal of Vandalia.

    She is a 2006 graduate of Ramsey High School.
    The future groom is the son of Marcia Barringer of Brownstown and Dudley Gathe of Effingham.
    He is a 2003 graduate of Brownstown High School.
    The couple are planning an Aug. 25 wedding at Oak Terrace in rural Pana. A reception will follow at the American Legion Home in Vandalia, with food served at 5:30 p.m.
