Christmas Trees
Remembered…
…Some Christmas trees have stood out in my memories, and while they weren’t perfectly shaped or beautifully decorated with expensive baubles, they were very special and beautiful in their own way…because of the dear hearts whose hands created them.
Two such trees came to mind this year. The late Ruby Goldsborough created one such Christmas and then preserved the memory of it n a heart-warming poem.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Old Capitol Post 3862 Ladies Auxiliary of Vandalia recently participated in the Wreaths Across America project, placing wreaths on all of the tombstones of veterans in the veterans' plot at Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia and in other local cemeteries.
